I've been involved in more than my share of aborted film and TV projects. THE MUSIC SHOW was going to be the vehicle that would return Carole Demas and Paula Janis to TV. They were a huge hit with an afternoon kid's TV show several years earlier, and they had a great idea for a show that would update their characters, their family of puppets, and their world. I did quite a bit of concept work with them creating a set design (shown above) and sketches for puppets.

These are four of the puppet characters we were developing for the show.

Bear-Li was a Chinese exchange student.

The Mail Snail was...well a French snail that delivers the mail.

Nephley was a Red Squirrel, and Shirley was perhaps the main puppet character.
